Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo have done it again – they made me buy a full year’s stock of napkins, all thanks to some pictures they’ve recently revealed. This is the Alfa Romeo Gloria concept, developed by the European Design Institute (IED) in Turin, in close collaboration with the automotive manufacturer from Italy.

So, what we have here is a gorgeously sexy 4-door coupé designed to turn the Asian and American automotive markets upside down. The car will reportedly come with plenty of interior space, both in front and in the back, mainly due to its respectable length. It is 4700 mm long, 1320 mm tall and 1920 mm wide, while the wheelbase measures a full 2900 mm.

Let’s not rush into things though, as this is just a rendering. Interestingly enough, Alfa Romeo are already working on an engine for it, though, at least theoretically. It will either be powered by a regular V6 motor, or by a sturdy biturbo V8. And worth mentioning is the fact that the Gloria sort of reminds of the previous Alfa Romeos, which used to feature leather straps inside the luggage compartments.
